Los Angeles, California ( PressReleaseCollection ) - January 02, 2009 – ReferQuest.com, a ‘refer and reward’ forum, has acquired a listing offering a $100,000 finder’s fee. The finder’s fee will be awarded to the referrer who successfully finds a buyer for a Hawaiian property. Referral opportunities are available to US citizens who are eighteen years of age or older.

Available online at www.referquest.com, ReferQuest provides a venue for buyers and sellers to list their needs or goods without cost, along with the finders’ fee they would pay to the person who finds what they are looking for. The site allows members to receive monetary compensation for helping the listing member to fulfill their need. As with the $100,000 reward currently posted on the website, listing members pay rewards to the referrer, not ReferMe, Inc.

According to Camille Landau, the CEO of ReferQuest, the concept behind this service was born out of frustration of not being able to sell or locate goods and services quickly, especially when faced with necessity. Landau states, “After I had unsuccessfully asked friends, and friends of friends for help, I had an urge to offer referral rewards to motivate others to get involved in my searches… I had the idea when I was about to have my first son, now that I’ve just had my second, I need the site even more.”

Websites that offer monetary rewards to non-professionals are emerging -- just this month Mahalo.com introduced Mahalo Answers, a service that allows members to offer cash incentives to other members in exchange for answers to their questions. ReferQuest's distinction is that it offers a marketplace that rewards actions; buyers and sellers have the opportunity to pay other members in exchange for helping them get their needs met.

“As the economy slows down, people are looking for new ways to speed their transactions up,” continues Landau. “The site [ReferQuest] allows people to monetize their social networks and help find solutions more quickly.”
