Mead, WA ( PressReleaseCollection ) Jun 09, 2009 -I would like to announce that the USTA/Midwest Section’s Community Tennis Division and Marketing & Membership Division recently partnered with Skyhawks Sports Camps to implement the QuickStart tennis format and USTA membership into their tennis camps within selected communities.

Skyhawks Sports youth sports camps are committed to providing a Safe, Fun, and Skill-focused experience for kids between the ages of 3 and 15. Skyhawks is a national youth sports camp company with local camps in over 24 states in the US as well as limited locations in Canada. Skyhawks offers 11 different sports: Soccer, Baseball, Flag Football, Basketball, Tennis, Lacrosse, Golf, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Track & Field, and a special Multi Sport Camp where kids get to sample three different sports. Youth summer camps range from 45 minutes to 6 hours per day and offer instruction in all skill levels, from introductory to advanced.

Skyhawks Sports is proud to be the leader in youth sports since 1979 and maintains a proven safety track record. Under the expert care of their sports camp coaches, kids not only learn individual, sport-oriented skills, but also develop personally and socially, learning teamwork and building character and life skills through sports.

As part of the agreement, Skyhawks will begin with pilot programs across the USTA/Midwest Section with a major focus in Ohio- 11 programs. The programs will utilize the QuickStart format and all the participants will become USTA members.

QuickStart Tennis is an exciting play format for learning tennis, designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring, all tailored to age and size. It is divided into two different levels -- ages 8 and under and ages 10 and under. It's the fast, fun way to get kids into tennis--and keep them playing.
