Fort Lauderdale, FL ( PressReleaseCollection ) March 09 ,2009 – Scorpion Performance, Inc., a manufacturer of precision parts for high performance engines, today announced that new sales are flooding in since the February 2009 closing of Crane Cams, a well-respected Daytona Beach manufacturer of automotive rocker arms, lifters, pushrods, valves, valve springs and various other engine valve train parts. In business for 56 years, Crane Cams built up a considerable clientele that is now hurrying to buy engine parts elsewhere, and Scorpion Performance is currently fulfilling those orders.

The acquisition of Crane’s former customers comes at an ideal time for Scorpion, which has a new 10-acre manufacturing facility in Ocala, Florida. Scorpion’s founder and president, Rob Stopanio, commented, “Scorpion Performance is successful because our state-of-the-art automated manufacturing processes enable us to lower costs and increase quality, which renews our ability to compete in an industry that is slowly being outsourced to other countries. Cheap overseas labor can’t compete with our automated precision robots that work 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

Scorpion Performance is the manufacturer of millions of high performance engine parts that are marketed and distributed through its new retail division, Scorpion Racing Products (SRP). According to Scott Reynolds, Scorpion’s Vice President of Marketing, “We now have the ability to manufacture and distribute products within days of an order if we don’t have the items in stock. Because of our price and quality advantages, we anticipate a very bright future for Scorpion Performance and SRP regardless of weakening economic conditions.”
