Heather Horsley Johnson is no stranger to loss; at the age of 14, she lost both a brother and a cousin in a tragic car accident. She has a BS in Elementary Education and spends much of her time working in the local schools and has a love of children and learning. She has served on the board of trustees at The Colby School, as well as helped raise funds and support for this not-for-profit school. Heather resides in the mountains of Park City, Utah, with her husband of 18 years, Shawn, and 4 children. Heather feels most full and content in the mountains. She is a great lover of the outdoors and finds time to meditate in nature. Heather is also president and founder of Not Fade Away Photos; www.notfadeawayphotos.com which organizes your photos of a loved one past or present into bound, digital photo books that will last a lifetime. She is eager to help people find hope and peace within our world.

Dr. Heidi Horsley, PsyD, MSW, MS, is a bereaved sibling and a licensed psychologist and social worker. Dr. Heidi is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Open to Hope Foundation and an adjunct professor at Columbia University. She has a private practice in Manhattan, NY specializing in grief and loss. She is also author of “Teen Grief Relief” and “Real Men Do Cry”. She holds graduate degrees from the University of San Francisco, Columbia University, and Loyola University.

About Dr. Gloria Horsley

Dr. Gloria C. Horsley, PHD, MFT, CNS, is a bereaved parent, and has worked in the field of family therapy for over twenty years. Dr. Gloria is Founder and President of the Open to Hope Foundation. She serves The Compassionate Friends (thecompassionatefriends.org) in a number of roles, including as a Board Director and frequently serves as a media spokesperson in her dual role as a bereaved parent and professional. She is co-author of “Teen Grief Relief” and “Real Men Do Cry.” She holds graduate degrees from the University of Rochester, Syracuse, Greenwich and Holos Universities.
