Exterior Shutter Company Offers Expands Selection for DIY Crowd, Contractors, Consultants

Pittsburgh, PA ( PressReleaseCollection ) December 10, 2009 – Estate Millwork, a wooden shutter manufacturing company in Southwestern PA is offering a wide selection of shutters, hinges, and accessories for the autumn construction season.

Many do-it-yourself homebuilders, contractors, and home remodeling consultants, buoyed by the prospect of warmer Northeastern fall and winter weather thanks to the El Nino effect, will extend the building season past Labor Day. Estate Millwork offers many stylish wood exterior shutter options for these building aficionados; and most wood shutters on sale can be customized to suit many different home exteriors.

"I'd encourage any homebuilder or contractor to take a look at our wooden shutter selection first" says Estate Millwork principal Dave Thomas. "We use all-natural hardwood in our exterior shutters, we assemble them by hand, and we create them with the intent that they'll be on the house for decades."

Big-box stores are a popular destination for handymen - and while their selections of tools and construction equipment often can't be beat, they're not exactly prime destinations for custom exterior shutters.

"Many stores are selling utility grade shutters," says Thomas. "That's fine if you're on a budget, that's absolutely fine if you need a fast job, or you only want that job to last a year or two. But if you're remodeling your own home - and especially, if you're in the business of remodeling other people's homes, a quality product will provide more satisfaction over the long run."

Wooden shutters are preferable for home remodeling or new construction jobs, says Thomas. They outlast vinyl or composite shutters, and they offer better protection against the elements. "Several years into your construction job, you'll see a significant return on your investment if you've purchase real wood shutters" adds Thomas.

Over the past several years, Estate Millwork has made it easier for time-strapped home improvement buffs to customize shutters to their liking. In 2008, the company added Custom Online Design Tools, a set of JavaScript-driven measurement tools that help builders quickly and easily order wooden shutters to size.

Estate Millwork now offers multiple variations on wooden shutter classics, including panel shutters, louvered shutters, and its famous top-hinged Bahama shutters. The company has forayed into interior decorating markets, too; it now sells custom wood doors on spec, custom all-wood cabinet doors and period reproduction hinges.

Thomas strives to ensure that the company's customer service is superb. "We've created our company to offer our customers the greatest number of choices. It's now possible to customize your exterior shutters on our Web site - where we've laid out finishing options, customization options, custom hinges, and more."

"But if you need that human touch, we also have CSR guys on hand, and they're always ready to answer any questions to help you get the job done most efficiently," Thomas adds.

Estate Millwork is a great destination for green builders, too. All exterior shutters are crafted from sustainable-harvest hardwoods. The company practices a green business philosophy every day, too. By enforcing strict temperature controls at the manufacturing plant, and by recycling scraps in other wooden shutter projects or burning them for fuel, Estate Millwork is able to keep total manufacturing costs down.

In a tight economy, what builder doesn't love that?

Estate Millwork, a green exterior shutter manufacturing company, is taking orders for custom wood shutters. Self Directed IRA Custodian Sunwest Trust And Republic Monetary Exchange Announce Partnership

Albuquerque, New Mexico ( PressReleaseCollection ) December 4, 2009 - The New Mexico based self di-rected IRA firm Sunwest Trust (www.SunwestTrust.com) announced today that they have reached an arrangement with Republic Monetary Exchange (www.RepublicMonetary.com), a leading precious metals broker based in Phoenix, Arizona. Under their arrangement, Sunwest Trust will provide exclusive self directed IRA custodian services for Republic's client investment accounts, de-scribed by Jim Clark, CEO of Republic Monetary Exchange as a "win-win sit-uation for our clients".

For Sunwest, this partnership represents an extension of the firm's IRA custodial and escrow services to the precious metals market, a move likely to be adopted by an increasing number of firms in the financial services sector.

"Consumers are becoming interested in investment vehicles which are less vul-nerable to the ups and downs of the stock market. We're seeing a lot of new IRA accounts at Sunwest from clients who want to purchase gold and other precious metals inside their IRA portfolios. Until 2007 it was primarily real estate, but now we're starting to see an increase in the number of gold or precious metal backed accounts," said Terry White, CEO of Sunwest Trust.

With a growing concern among the public about the possibility of inflationary pressures driving down the value of their IRA accounts and other investments, the number of consumers choosing to invest in gold, silver and other precious metals has been steadily increasing over the past few years, with brokers like Republic Monetary Exchange gaining market share in the financial services sector rapidly.

The relative stability of gold and other precious metals makes them an especially popular investment in a sluggish economy, especially when compared to traditional stock and securities investments. Given the uncertain economic outlook for at least the next few quarters, Sunwest Trust Inc. and Republic's new relationship looks to be one, which is certain to attract investors looking for stable retirement investment vehicles such as the self directed IRA or a gold-backed IRA account.

About Sunwest Trust:

Sunwest Trust www.SunwestTrust.com is one of a few companies in the entire country that will act as custodian for a completely self directed IRA.

About Republic Monetary Exchange:

The offices of Republic Monetary Exchange are located in Phoenix, Arizona. Natural Stop Smoking Aid Hopes to Reduce Number of Americans Who Smoke

Boston, MA, ( Pressreleasecollection ) November 30, 2009 — Although the number of American smokers has decreased over the past several years, there are still about 43 million smokers in this country. The makers of Nicodyne, an herbal stop smoking aid, hope to significantly reduce that number through the use of their new product.

“According to the latest studies, about 23% of all adults in America still smoke,” said Tom Griffen, a spokesperson for Nicodyne. “What’s more troubling is that about 30% of adolescents are smokers. Many of these people want to stop smoking, but they don’t know how. That’s where we hope to help.”

While the stop smoking industry is full of prescription products, Nicodyne is changing things up by using an all-natural formula that doesn’t require a prescription. Nicodyne ingredients include lobelia, passion flower, skullcap, and elderberry, to name just a few. Each ingredient provides a unique benefit to help fight cravings, overcome withdrawals, and improve respiratory health.

For those wondering how Nicodyne works, the ingredients work together to calm nicotine cravings and to help individuals deal with the physical stresses of quitting smoking. This allows those who take Nicodyne to overcome withdrawal symptoms much faster than those who quit cold turkey or who use prescription stop smoking products.

“We believe that Nicodyne is a safer, gentler alternative to prescription stop smoking aids,” continued Nicodyne’s spokesperson. “With Nicodyne, you don’t have to worry about harmful side effects, and you can always rest easy knowing every ingredient is 100% natural.”

The newly updated Nicodyne website also has a Nicodyne reviews section where real customers can share their experiences with taking the herbal stop smoking product. These testimonials allow potential customers to gain better insight into how the product truly performs on people, just like them, who have already tried it.

“The truth is every company claims their stop smoking product is the best,” explained another spokesperson for Nicodyne. “By sharing customer reviews on our website, we let the consumers do the talking for us.”

To learn more about Nicodyne herbal stop smoking aid, please visit www.nicodyne.com today.

Contact:
Tom Griffen
www.nicodyne.com
198 Tremont St
Boston, MA
(617) 426-3039

###

CASH FOR CANDY

Fort Lauderdale, FL ( Pressreleasecollection ) November 28, 2009 - One area dentist is redefining the phrase “put your money where your mouth is.” This Halloween, trick-or-treaters can bring their excess candy to Ultimate Smile in Fort Lauderdale and receive $1 per pound. Dr. J. Heider is leading this anti-decay movement by giving away dollars and glowing electric toothbrushes in exchange for cavity-provoking candy.

“Ditch the candy, and support our troops, that’s what we’re saying. Visiting your dentist twice a year and brushing daily are great preventative measures, but doing away with excess sweets altogether would really give your teeth a healthy boost,” says Dr. Heider. “Kids can still have all of the fun of trick-or-treating, and now their piggy banks will benefit as well. Plus, these glowing brushes we're giving out are really cool—they’re like light sabers for your mouth.” Global sugar consumption for kids increases by about 2% annually and currently sits at 50 million tons per year, which means parents need to be sure their kids teeth are being cared for more than ever. Candy, as well as hurting children’s teeth, can lead to hyperactivity and weight gain. In some cases, the wrong types of candy can also lead to broken teeth and damaged braces.

Candy will be collected at Ultimate Smile on Monday November 2nd from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. The candy must be unopened. Please no bites. It will then be shipped to troops overseas.

Dr. J. Heider's office in Fort Lauderdale emphasizes general family dental care as well as cosmetic procedures. Dr. Heider is available to provide more information at 954-566-5428, or visit Ultimate Smile on-line at www.ultimateSMILEftl.com

Contact:
Fort Lauderdale
2026 NE 19th St.
Ft. Housing Finance Agency Initiative Offers Assistance to Lower-Income Homebuyers

Austin, TX ( Pressreleasecollection ) November 27, 2009 — The federal government announced its new housing finance agency initiative, intended to provide additional assistance to lower and middle income home buyers and renters. The hfa initiative offers two types of help to state and local agencies. First, it provides a temporary source of credit and liquidity for these agencies to shore up their financial situation and assist them in managing outstanding bonds. Secondly, it offers a new bond purchase program to allow state and local hfas to provide financing for new projects and rehabilitation of existing properties.

The first portion of the initiative is the temporary credit and liquidity program. Under the new initiative, the department of the treasury will use the backing provided by freddie mac and fannie mae securities to underwrite existing loans; essentially, the federal government will purchase a financial interest in certain loans held by state and local hfas, freeing up additional capital for new loans and allowing hfas a measure of financial stability that recent market conditions may have endangered.

The second portion, referred to as the new issue bond program, will directly offer temporary financing to hfas. This will allow the state and local agencies to provide new mortgages to lower income borrowers who might not be able to obtain financing through other means. It is expected that this initiative will provide hundreds of thousands of mortgages to first-time homebuyers. Refinance opportunities will also be made available to homeowners caught in the credit crunch.

The hfa initiative is expected to provide more affordable interest rates to lower income home buyers by subsidizing those rates at the state and local level, allowing more families the opportunity to purchase their own home. While these programs are temporary, they are expected to have a significant effect on home sales. Additionally, since the funding for these programs will come from loans and bonds, rather than tax dollars, the programs are expected to pay for themselves throughout their duration.

“The housing finance agency initiative will help more families purchase their first home,” joe cline of austin-based affinity properties said. “this will provide much needed stability for the entry-level housing market in austin and throughout texas, and give a boost to the real estate market in general.” Economic experts agree with this assessment, noting the need for a stabilizing influence at the lower end of the housing market has never been more urgent. State and local hfas are expected to submit plans for participation in the initiative to the federal government within the next few weeks.

About affinity properties
Affinity properties is one of the most productive and experienced austin texas realtors.
