The site also allows for social bookmarking with tools to optionally tag your bookmarks and share them publicly. WhereintheW therefore acts as an excellent tool to explore and find new and interesting websites as well.

How to use WhereintheW in 4 easy steps:

1) Register and Login at http://www.whereinthew.com
2) Install the appropriate add-on for your browser from the "Get Browser Tools" section inside the "My Bookmarks" page. A clickable link appears on your browser's toolbar.
3) Every time you want to bookmark a page click on the add-on link on your browser. The site automatically indexes the page you are on.
4) Retrieve the bookmark by logging into your account and searching for a keyword(s) from the page.

Contact:
Robin Young
D-429, Defence Colony
New Delhi
Delhi
India
Pin: 110024
Phone : 9818028322

###

US FINDS CREDIBILITY IN TV OVER SOCIAL BOOKMARKING

Hayneville, AL ( PressReleaseCollection ) November 14th, 2008 - Figures from the 2008 Opinion Research Corporation’s national survey show US citizens are more willing to trust television news over news sources on the Internet, such as social bookmarking sites where each members submit websites they think newsworthy.

Free shoppers were deemed the least trustworthy source in the survey sponsored by ARA Net. Those who took the survey were asked to rank each media source out of 10. Television got an all-time high of 6.6 on the scale while in the middle were online sources (5.6) and at the bottom were free shoppers with 3.5.

The survey throws up interesting results, but it doesn’t explain why online resources where users submit websites for social bookmarking are trusted less than news stories on the Television. It suggests the quality and validity of news stories in some areas of the media need to improve and that is where companies like ExcellentGuide are seeing high demand for their services.

“As more people go online for news, it’s more critical than ever for sites to deliver credible content” says President of ARA Net, Scott Severson “users need direct access to the information they’re looking for”.

The ExcellentGuide directory was founded by Roderick Coleman in 2005 and uses a distinctive ranking system. When a user chooses to submit websites to ExcellentGuide they are ranked in terms of usability and validity before being listed. This online service used Stanford University studies into what Webmasters look for in websites to develop their ranking system.

In a world where the Internet becomes more popular by the second it’s important to use it to our advantage. ExcellentGuide aims to help Webmasters find credible sources more easily and at the same time bring the Internet’s 5.6 on the scale up a notch through cross-promoting company websites and reliable content.

Contact:
Excellentguide.com
126 patterson Rd,
Hayneville
Alabama 36040

###
