Cancer Survivors' CelebrateSexy Photography Session Contest

October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As part of our quest to support women's issues, Images by Kay & Co. Photography offered its first Annual Breast Cancer Survivors' CelebrateSexy Photo Session Contest. Winner Debbie H had a heartfelt, moving story that touched readers' hearts everywhere.

Mitigating A Terrifying Experience
Having any kind of cancer is frightening and confusing; but breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed among U.S. Women.

Research shows us that the impact of breast cancer can be minimized with accurate information. As an all female team, we are committed to continually supporting this cause and proud to be providing Arizona women a place to be photographed in a way that builds confidence about their bodies once again in every CelebrateSexy photo session.

The pampering that occurs during one session helps ease feelings of vulnerability. After surviving such a serious health challenge, women sometimes feel betrayed by their bodies. The final photographs help to bridge that gap, building peace and self-assurance. These stunning images provide the final proof that individuals are no longer patients, they've survived! The message that consistently leaves the studio is that survivors are stronger and more beautiful than ever.

A Fantastic Opportunity
Images by Kay & Co. Photography held a contest during the last two weeks of October for cancer survivors. Any woman affected by cancer, could enter to win a FREE CelebrateSexy Diva Photography Package. Only a survival story along with one or two photos of the survivor were necessary for entry. All entries were posted on the blog.

As the contest progressed, blog readers, chose the contest winner by voting. Winner Debbie H. received a Designer Diva Package and was treated to professional hair styling and makeup application during her CelebrateSexy session. The images in her album will forever remain a wonderful reminder and celebration of her beauty.

Anyone with a cancer survival story is a true winner, so all of our finalists received a $100 gift certificate toward a CelebrateSexy photography session. In addition, Images by Kay & Co. contributed a portion of each CelebrateSexy session in October towards breast cancer research. The CelebrateSexy experience came from our desire to provide Arizona women with a photographic opportunity that is unlike any other.

According to Kay Eskridge, founder of CelebrateSexy, "It took such a long time in my life to get to the point . . . to understand that sexiness was more than about what was on the outside . . . that it was about self confidence and inner beauty and that my definition of sexy was my own. I know that sounds so philosophic but with age comes wisdom and at 45 I feel like I'm finally 'getting it' in terms of what I'm all about. If through a portrait experience like CelebrateSexy I can help other women celebrate what that means to each of them... than I know the time, hard work and continued effort is all worth it.
